Lead Editor/Editing Manager (Part-time staff job, 3 days/week)

I am converting my full-time job to a job-share, and I’m looking for a wonderful editor with lead and/or manager experience to be my job-share partner and work 3 days per week. The job is within the curriculum/training department of a local telecom company. Compensation includes benefits. Because the job-share is not yet officially approved, I can’t share the name of the company here, but will provide more information on request. The job entails: Editorial leadership, project/vendor management, editing (primarily copyediting), and desktop publishing. Writing Assistance, Inc is a nationwide staffing agency for training developers and technical writers. Currently we have an opening in the Seattle, WA area.

Our client is looking for a Technical Writer who can edit down installation instructions into a consumer focused guide. They are looking at having 7 manuals created that will be approximately 3-4 pages in length.

Our client manufactures office supplies and will need this to be completed by the end of May, early June.

The writer will be provided detailed content and graphics. It is the writer's job to pair down this information, format, and layout the documents.
