This class is for those of us who need a better understanding of computer graphics from everyday terminology to determining which file format works best in what situation. From Directors to those of us starting down the road to working with computer graphics applications such as Photoshop, InDesign, or Acrobat, this class will give you an overview of what it takes to work in the computer graphics industry.
Topics to be discussed:
- File Formats explained (the best in every situation)
- Determining the Correct resolution for images
- Do scaling, cropping, rotating and special effects
- Easy image correction (color, sharpening)
- Saving in different file formats (PDF, EPS, etc.)
- Working with Object-Oriented Images and Type (vector vs. raster)
- Working with raster and vector
- Working with Fonts - TrueType, Type1, OpenType

Brian has been an Adobe Certified Expert in Acrobat since version 4, InDesign since version 2, Photoshop since version CS, and a GoLive ACE since version 5. He is a Quark 6 certified instructor, and co-wrote the Acrobat 6 ACE exam, GoLive CS ACE exam, wrote a chapter in Acrobat 6 H-O-T (Hands on Training) for Lynda.com, and just finished writing InDesign CS2 Hands•on•Training for Lynda.com. In addition to serving as Vice President/Director of Training at eVolve, he worked directly with Adobe in 2003 as a contract Acrobat and Creative Suite Specialist, and is a part-time Creative Suite Specialist for Adobe. As Vice President/Director of Training at eVolve, Brian is responsible for class content, class offerings, instructors, and directing training technology.
