Welcome to the 2010 scholarship page for the Puget Sound
Chapter!
The Puget Sound Chapter of the STC sponsors two scholarships
every year. These scholarships are being offered to students to further
their education in technical communication, and are in the amount of
$1000.00 each.
The scholarship fund was originally (1986) set up to honor two
Society Fellows who made significant contributions to STC (at both the
chapter and society levels) and to the technical communication
community as a whole. Among their many accomplishments, James W.
Souther and Myron L. White were instrumental in establishing the Puget
Sound Chapter. More recently, the chapter decided to also award a
scholarship, and the two scholarships are awarded at the same time
through one application period.
